Social media, once again, took the exclusive and international Fashion Weeks by storm and making them 100% accessible to the public.
Many designers jumped on the Twitter bandwagon for NYFW and tweeted posts from their shows, images of their models and other FW news. Diane von Furstenberg saw an increase of 3,000 followers while Michael Kors and Betsey Johnson gained roughly 2,000 followers each during NYFW.
With the success of social media use during NYFW, designers at LFW are making sure to keep in touch with the public via the Internet too! Burberry’s Christopher Bailey even took over the Burberry Twitter page to get in touch with fans.
Oh the power of Twitter and oh how we love it so! Long may this blossoming relationship continue!
