Fred Perry seems to be doing the rounds recently. Not only has the brand announced a collaboration with Liberty of London for its new “Blank Canvas” range, but they’ve also just announced another collaboration with “Rehab” singer, Amy Winehouse.

The ironically named “Blank Canvas” range, with Liberty of London, includes four classic Fred Perry pieces that use the classic Liberty’s print; ‘Mark’ (paisley) and ‘Edenham’ (floral). The pieces have the prints in varying degrees but some, like the piece shown here, clearly go all out!

Their other collaboration is with none other than Amy Winehouse, inspired by her own “unique sense of style”, the range is to be launched in October.

Amy said: “I’m really excited about doing this collection with Fred Perry. We’ve been working on it for a while and it’s great to see it finally come to fruition.”

Apparently Amy’s been really hands on with the collection, which makes a change from her usual flighty persona. The collection is to include pieces from her ‘signature look’ such as twinsets, skinny pencil skirts, Capri pants, mini dresses and polo shirts. Although they seem to refraining from using her to actually model the clothes, opting for these lovely and stylish little sketches.

Richard Martin, the brands marketing director, added to WWD: “We had three major design meetings where she was closely involved in product style selection and the application of fabric, colour and styling details. Amy gave crucial input on proportion, colour and fit. The range clearly has Amy’s handwriting.”
