Ricky Gervais Golden Globes Twitter

Ricky Gervais tweeted this after his appearance on the red carpet

So the Golden Golden awards 2012 kicked off last night with Ricky Gervais as host and we’ve got all the fashion highlights from the red carpet right here.

In terms of the fashion stakes, we can help feel that no one really wowed us this year. There were a LOT of big dresses but no one quite cut it for us enough to get 10/10.

Saying that, some of the ladies did make a great effort (especially on the beauty stakes) and Ricky Gervais looked very dapper in his burgundy suit and bespoke champagne bottle backstage. He loved the set up so much he actually tweeted with the caption: ‘Whizzed down the red carpet in record time to check my rider was in my dressing room as required. Excellent’

So check out our favourite celebrity fashion picks below and continue reading for the full list of winners.
