You Know You Want It: Style-Inspiration-Confidence

We’re counting down the days until Mad Men finally returns to our screens for its third series, fully prepared to lust after the uber glam wardrobes. Well we won’t have to wait much longer, according to EW.com, Janie Bryant, the Emmy Award-winning costume designer behind the show is writing a style book. Co-written with fashion journalist Monica Corcoran, Bryant says the book will help women “tap into their inner ‘leading lady.’”

It takes its inspiration from glamorous girls of the past (think Brigitte Bardot), Bryant says, “It teaches you how to take elements from whatever decade you love and put it into your modern dress.” Grand Central Publishing has yet to disclose the book’s title, but according to EW.com, it’s set to release this fall.

If that doesn’t float your boat, you can get your fashion fix elsewhere. Having tuned into Gossip Girl mainly for the fashion as well as the scandal we’re particularly excited to hear about Eric Daman’s new book. The GG costume designer has brought out  “You Know You Want It: Style-Inspiration-Confidence” giving us the inside scoop on recreating Blair’s signature preppy chic and Serena’s hottest looks.
