Jonathan Saunders is to show at London Fashion Week. The Scottish designer is the latest in a string of top designers – including Burberry, Pringle and Matthew Williamson – to return to the British capital for the Spring/Summer 2010 shows in September to celebrate the 25th anniversary of London fashion week.
Jonathan said: “I am absolutely delighted to be returning to show in London this September. London is where I’m based. I have a studio here and it’s very close to my heart and I also have a lot of friends who show in London. Where you show is a combination of where you feel creative and where your business is.”
Jonathan – whose celebrity fans include Thandie Newton and Sienna Miller – has shown collections in New York Fashion Week for the past two years. Harold Tillman chairman of the British Fashion Council said: “We are delighted that Jonathan has announced his return to London today as part of our 25 year celebrations. The excitement ahead of September continues to grow.”
