It’s not like we need an excuse to jump in a cab and head over to Knightsbridge, but you won’t stop us hot-footing it over to Harvey Nichols to drool at their new window display.

This time, they’re based on ‘understated classics’; every day items put to imaginative use. So, there’s a tree made from pencils, a piano made from cassettes, a dress fashioned from clothes pegs and a giant hammer covered in nails – all designed to make you think twice about items generally considered mundane.

Confusingly, there’s a Ferarri made from tiny plastic orange horses…er, clearly that’s a particularly Knightsbridge ‘everyday’, but who are we to judge?
