A beautiful, post-rehab, Lara Stone graces the cover of Vogue’s December issue. Standing 5’10, Stone stands at an average height for a model. So what made Karl Lagerfeld call her “perfect – the girl of the moment”? With 32D breasts and “an arse,” Stone’s beauty doesn’t fit the skinny size women today dream of attaining, and it doesn’t necessarily appeal to all high-fashion designers. Instead, Stone appeals to what men today want. She is tall and thin, but unmistakably a woman.

It isn’t until Stone is asked what the longest time she has spent in one place since the beginning of her modelling career that rehab is discussed. When asked where she spent her only solid four weeks, Stone openly replied, “That was to rehab.” Stone’s rehab was not for drugs, as she tells Vogue, “I never wanted to be that model on drugs, the sort who gives head for a line of coke.” Instead it was for alcoholism. Of the four weeks spent at rehab, Stone commented:  “Going to rehab was the best decision I ever made. The last six months have been the best of my life.”

The interview with Lara Stone in December’s Vogue doesn’t reek of usual post-rehab drama, because her open and candid attitude doesn’t let it. She is lovely and driven, speaking about the time she pushed a posing model down a few stairs because the model would not move when Stone needed to get to the catwalk. Today she finds herself far removed from the girl who used to be called funny looking. Stone is comfortable with her body but will say that like many women, she wishes she were a bit skinnier. But don’t worry about Stone becoming stick thin just yet- she admits that her body is the result of not caring enough to not give in whenever a pizza craving comes her way.
