Liberty Team Up With Target

Do those folks over at Target ever step out of the fast lane? Hot on the heels of the announcement that Zac Posen and Gaultier were collaborating with the US department store, now we hear they are all set to take a little of London to their shoppers. Teaming up with London’s Liberty, they will be sampling some of the store’s most iconic prints and producing a range of clothing for men, women and children along with a home range.

Chief executive officer at Liberty, Geoffroy de la Bourdonnaye, told WWD: “Target really started the trend of pairing mass marketers with brands and designers, and I feel like Liberty is joining their hall of fame,” When talking about the collection he went on to say, “There’s everything from bird houses and bicycles to lingerie. I’m happy about that because it means they will be attracting a large audience. And that will give Liberty great exposure to the biggest market in the world.”

The range will be available at Target both online and in store, and here’s the exciting part, the collection will actually go on sale over here in March…we wonder if they will have the Target price points to match? Now if only we could get our hands on some of Zac’s Z Spoke range
