Designer Louise Goldin made a name for herself by creating avant-garde knitwear. Launched in 2005, her label, Goldin found ways to use lurex yarns and cashmere to make the line’s wool knits ultra sexy.  Goldin’s lingerie inspired spring 2010 line, as seen at London Fashion Week, was a mixture of delicate and tough. The clothing collection cleverly incorporated lady–like bloomers and 50s “sweater girl” bras with more Madonna-esque, leather bras. Of the collection, Goldin said: “it is the first time I’ve done anything historical.” “I did a lot of research at the Victoria & Albert’s Baroque exhibition, and I’ve been studying bras for three years. It all came together, but I still wanted to keep it quite futuristic.”

For Spring 2010, Goldin is designing shoes to be sold at Topshop. So far all of the images that have surfaced are on the “tough” side, with spikes all about the shoes making them look fabulously dangerous.
There is no word on whether the entire line will follow suit, or if there will be some girly additions. Here are the shoes said to redefine “fierce.”
