We all do it, make that impulse bargain buy. You just had to have those shimmering sequin stilettos, with sky high heels that you could never walk in, they sit at the back of your wardrobe like forgotten friends, waiting to make a comeback. You and I know it’s never going to happen. 75% of women are hoarding on average, 14 items that have never seen the light of day. Mary ‘Queen of Shops’ Porter has come up with a very thrifty idea to help you get rid of your impulse purchases with a little help from those stylish people at Grazia Magazine.

On June 4th, Mary will open the Living and Giving shop, a new kind of second hand shop, in the luxurious surroundings of the Village at Westfield London.  Items have been donated from thousands of generous Grazia readers, and the folks at Grazia have also asked a number of influential people in fashion and various brands, to donate any unwanted clothes. So far, Sarah Mower of American Vogue has offered some serious designer goodies, Prada, Burberry, Mulberry, Luella Bartley and Savannah Miller have offered clothes, while presenter Brix Smith-Start, has donated a work of art and a Miu Miu skirt suit! The best bit is all the money raised will help charities Save the Children and Mind.

The store opens on Thursday (June 4th)Saturday 27th of June 2009 - now that’s our kind of shopping, bagging a bargain while giving to charity. If you would like to donate any forgotten friends languishing at the back of your wardrobe, there’s still time. Drop off your donations at Grazia HQ by June 4th. Strictly between 9am and 6pm, at 189 Shaftsbury Avenue, London, WC2H 8JG. Alternatively you can donate items at the Living & Giving Shop when it opens on the 4th of June.
