Naomi Campbell has joined forces with Louis Vuitton to do her bit for charity. The supermodel has chosen a rather demure bag design for her latest charity initiative. A chunk of the sales from the bag will be donated to the White Ribbon Alliance, an organization dedicated to reducing maternal mortality worldwide.

The bag will retail at 1,900 euros and will be available to buy at Vuitton’s 439 stores next March 2010. The launch coincides with the 100th anniversary of International Women’s Day that month.

The bag has not yet been named, but has a soft square style with its signature canvas stitched in strips atop metallic leather. Campbell, started modelling for Marc Jacobs at age 16, said the designer didn’t hesitate to concoct the aid scheme, pulling it together during the crunch time between his signature show in New York and the Vuitton show on Wednesday.

Campbell commented saying, “People say fashion people don’t do anything. We do a lot.” Are we perhaps seeing a nicer side to Miss Campbell?
