Crystal Renn is the new face of Jimmy Choo.

The American ‘plus-size model’ (ahem…. she’s like size 2!) will front the fashion label’s new advertising in a series of photographs showing off the brand’s new attire, including large-framed sunglasses and strappy high heels.

The collaboration is being judged as a boost for both the model and fashion label.

The Choo campaign — which tends to cast an established face season to season — is another coup [for Crystal],” New York Magazine reported.

The label’s last high profile campaign was led by Amber Valletta.

Crystal is hot property in the modelling world, having recently fronted advertising drives for Jean-Paul Gaultier and Chanel. She has also hit the headlines thanks to her figure, with speculation she has been losing weight. The star recently decided to confront the rumours head on, admitting she has shed pounds but insisting it wasn’t a conscious decision.

“It’s not affecting my work at all. But I have felt pressure from women who, before me, didn’t have someone my body size and shape to look up to,” she said. “I felt they were clinging to me being bigger and it crossed my mind – maybe I should just eat more. But that’s a binge-eating disorder. I realise I can’t be everyone’s ideal size. I have to just be me.”
