Nikki Reed is teaming up with the denim brand, 7 for all Mankind, to create a jewellery line inspired by the theme of love.
The collection is appropriate because the actress recently married musician Paul McDonald from American Idol. The duo have worked together to release original romantic songs together like “Now That I’ve Found You.”
The jewellery, made of sterling silver, Swarovski crystals and rose gold have been aptly named with romance-inspired titles such as “Starry Knight Earrings” and “Story Telling”.
No stranger to designing jewellery, Reed previously designed a line of jewellery entitled the Mattlin Era collection and revealed that design was on the cards for her way before acting was.
“[Jewellery designing] was, technically, my first job,” said Reed. “My mom and I would make bracelets and necklaces, and I would sell it in the first, second, and third grades because that was my lunch money. Everyone in my family has some kind of artistic tendency. My great grandmother was a jewellery designer and her daughter was a ceramic tile muralist.”
On describing her personal style, she said, “Very eclectic. I love finding things when I travel. I’ll wear a really expensive ring and stack it with a $5 ring. One of my favorite pieces is actually a ring that I wear on my pinky finger. I got it when I was in third grade at like a bubble gum machine at some fair. I like putting silver with gold and things with stones next to things with no stones. I like for jewellery to tell a story and to be able to talk about what I’m wearing. That’s more important to me than a name, brand, or label.”
The five piece jewellery line is available to purchase at 7 for all Mankind boutiques or online here.
