As New York Fashion Week continues we are here to bring you all the latest front row gossip and trends. Read on for more on Marc Jacobs, DKNY, Carolina Herrera and our very own Victoria Beckham.

Marc Jacobs

Who was there?
While Jacob’s show wasn’t as celeb packed as it usually is (the designer was forced to cut down his guest list by 1,200 seats this season), some big names still managed to get a glimpse.  Barack Obama’s social secretary, Desiree Rogers, sat in the front row and not too far away was legendary make-up guru Francois Nars (his first runway show in over a decade!).

The Look
Jacobs brought on punk-chic for his runway show yesterday.  His satin mini dresses and neon pencil skirts had a quirky twist with zippers and cutouts appearing in unusual places.  Jacobs joined a string of designers who are bringing the 80s back, utilizing some intense shoulder pads on many of his outfits (yes, shoulder pads!).

Who was there?
Mrs. Beckham’s Fall 2009 dress line was shown by appointment at the swanky Waldorf Tower in NYC this past weekend.  Fashion elites including British Vogue’s Fashion Features Director, Harriet Quick, showed up to the private screening. Naomi Campbell and Eva Longoria have already expressed interest in the collection.

The Look
Vic’s dress line proved to be as posh as she is.  The singer turned designer reflected her own personal style in the flirty cocktail dresses and floor length gowns that graced the catwalk.  She incorporated an array of lux fabric, from cashmere to velvet, in her ready to wear pieces.  Would you expect any less from this diva?

Who was there?
In the front row at Donna Karan’s runway show was a string of fashion royalty and celebrity fashion fans.  Everyone from Hilary Duff to Mila Jovovich came out for the legendary American designer’s runway production.

The Look
Donna Karan does her part for the everyday woman who needs to be comfortable, yet stylish throughout a busy day with her Fall 2009 collection.  The outfits consisted mainly of long, body contouring dresses that have the ability to flatter women of all shapes and sizes.  While her muted color palette of browns, blacks, and greys were not the most exciting choices,  but the sheer class of her designs more than made up for it.

Who was there?
The pop singer had a number of admirers and colleagues at his runway show. Girlfriend Jessica Biel was seen cheering on in the front row along side Paris and Nicky Hilton, Bar Rafaeli, Gerard Butler, and Emilie Hirsch.  Even Vogue’s Anna Wintour couldn’t resist catching a glimpse of the talented and handsome singer and was photographed backstage with Timblerlake.

The Look
The William Rast Collection, started by Timberlake and childhood friend Trace Ayala, consisted of its usual trendy dark washed denim, but was accentuated by quite a few pieces that we haven’t seen before.  The leather jackets, plaid blouses, and faded skinny jeans brought out the wannabe biker in us…Vrrroom!

Who was there?
Skeletal stylist Rachel Zoe was seen in a rather questionable outfit and Vogue queen Anna Wintour was also spotted taking her rightful place in the front row.

The Look
While New York Fashion Week saw many designers taking inspiration from either the 1980s or a futuristic space age, Herrera was not one of them.  Instead, she opted to bring back some 19th century chic.  The audience was amazed by her use of fabric, which ranged from lace to suede all in one look.  My favorite part of the designer’s show?  The scandalous, yet perfectly suited corsets that were only slightly visible through the gowns.
