Christian Louboutin designs for 'Peace of Shoe' collection

Christian Louboutin has been inspired by a Nobel Peace Prize winner to design a fabulous peep-toe pump to sell for charity that we absolutely adore.

The famous French stiletto designer has produced 33 pairs of this gorgeous heel under the title Peace of Shoe. One-hundred percent of the profits will be donated to the Grameen Foundation, which helps impoverished people to improve their own lives through the use of micro-financing and technology to create their own businesses.

Christian was inspired to make the generous offer after reading a book by the Grameen Foundation Founder and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Muhammad Yunus called “Creating a World Without Poverty”.

The fabulous peep-toes are covered in satin and come in a range of hues including lavender, champagne and several tones of pink. Christian’s design features hand stitched trimming with an embroidered Indian ribbon.

If you want a pair, you’ll have to act fast! Only people in Los Angeles, New York and Miami will be able to access them and the shoe is expected to sell out quick. These sophisticated and sexy heels are anticipated to sell for a whopping $1,495!

We love that a luxury designer such as Louboutin is able to use his ideas to benefit a charitable cause… I think it’s a necessary addition to my collection! Flight to LA anyone?
