Pudsey Does Designer for Children In Need

Children In Need’s adorable and much-loved mascot Pudsey is, this year, ditching his signature style for high-fashion. And we don’t blame him. We’d quite happily ditch our regular togs too if it meant having 30 of fashion’s most desirable designers create unique outfits just for us!

Curated by legendary LOVE editor and stylist, Katie Grand, The Designer Pudsey 2012 Collection builds upon last year’s £50,000 success, asking  over 30 international and British designers to create a 28″ Pudsey bearing their own inimitable design talents and styling.  From Burberry’s quintessential English Gent Pudsey sporting an iconic trench coat to the Equestrian Prada Pudsey, Smythson’s powder-blue and Loewe’s sleek leather look Pudsey, fashioned in a number of fabrics, prints and textures, Pudsey is undoubtedly the most-fashion forward bear around this season.

Alongside the 28″ versions, Anya Hindmarch, Paul Smith and Selfridges have also created limited edition 10 inch Designer Pudsey which will go on general sale from the 24th October.

Before making their way to auction at Christie’s to raise money for Children In Need,  the Pudsey’s, in all their haute couture incarnations will be exhibited exclusively at Selfridges London and Manchester stores from 24th October – 14 November 2012.

Designer Pudsey includes creations from; Burberry, Vivienne Westwood, Paul Smith, Loewe, Sibling, Mulberry, Giles Deacon made with Swarovski Elements, Katie Hillier, Henry Holland, Louis Vuitton, Jonathan Saunders, Selfridges, Alexander McQueen, Smythson, Victoria Beckham, Prada, Donatella Versace, Missoni, Pucci, Gucci, Norton and Sons, Diane Von Furstenberg, Fendi, Balenciaga, Anya Hindmarch, Vogue, GQ, Kate Spade New York and Tom Ford.
