The Duchess of Cambridge

It seems everyone was making time last week to coo over the latest appearance of the nation’s beloved Prince George at his christening , a private ceremony at St James’ Palace. Of course we were no less excited to see the newest edition to the royal family than anyone else, but here at BATD we were rather more distracted by a viewing of the newest edition to the Duchess’ of Cambridge wardrobe. And of course, she did not disappoint. Kate looked as elegant as she ever had done in a beautifully tailored Alexander McQueen dress and a Jane Taylor hat.

Pippa Middleton followed suit in a cream and blush combination from London boutique Suzannah whose founder Suzannah Crabb put in hours of research into what could be deemed appropriate yet stylish for a royal christening. The result was an understated pretty look with heavy 60s influences that Pippa matched with a full up do that gave the effect of a low waved pony tail that flowed beautifully down over one shoulder.

It seems cream and ivory shades are enjoying a peak in popularity with the sisters, and indeed our very own high street. Take a look at BATD’s pick of the best cream must-haves.
