Not many pictures have leaked out from the eagerly anticipated sequel to Sex and the City, but we’ve managed to get a hold of few and which designers are giving out their best merchandise for the film. In some of the first released images Kim Cattrall sports a body-hugging black dress with a python VBH Palm clutch worth $1,300. Cynthia Nixon wears a flattering rustic, orange dress complimented by $795 Yves Saint Laurent Triumph platforms heels. Sarah Jessica Parker is decked out in a $325 Halston Heritage dress, Chanel clutch worth $1,500, Christian Louboutin Pigalle with fiery red heels, and a Solange Azagury-Partridge necklace worth $198,200. She topped off the outfit with $525 Mykita & Bernhard Willhelm shades. Kristin David was head to toe in hot pink Christian Dior: a $790 skirt, $3,090 jacket, $6,650 Lady Dior Lizzard handbag.

In the next picture of Parker she donned another Halston Heritage cocktail dress coming in at $435 with orange shades from Jee Vice’s at $170. Sticking with Louboutin she wore Gino T-strap heels for $865 and a $1,795 slouchy Sylvia handbag. Parker brings back a dress from the third season and wears her old Christian Dior newspaper dress, the last time we saw this one was when she confronted Natasha about her affair with Mr. Big. She complimented the dress with $1,785 Christian Louboutin laced booties.

Sex and the City has become the modern medium for designers to showcase their latest merchandise. We can only imagine how cutthroat the race is to get to the movie’s stylist, Patricia Field. Who wouldn’t want their goods to be featured in the world’s most fashionable and glamorous movie of the year? Well there is one… Manolo Blahnik. He is quoted saying, “…if people talk to me about Sex and the City, I get sick. The taxi drivers recognize me now. It becomes too much and I don’t feel comfortable. I have never wanted to be a celebrity designer.”

But this doesn’t keep him from saying that last year’s movie kept his company from going under, thanks to those beautiful blue, satin shoes.  Or as Blahnik says, “ well we had a very good year, thanks to those stupid satin shoes. That shoe saved our company.”
