Trans-Seasonal Styling with Next

Despite it barely being a week into August, the high street is already tempting us with the first taste of autumn winter stock, and boy is it good. So good, that we’ve almost forgotten that we’re still owed something of a British summer and are already mental notes as to what we’ll be purchasing come the first semblance of an autumn breeze.
Continuing to be a hot trend, floral and botanical prints becomes deeper, darker and in heavier fabrics for autumn. I’m planning on pairing this fuchsia floral dress with faux-tanned bare legs, ankle boots and a heavily studded leather biker jacket come September.
As soon as the temperature drops, there’s no doubt that the perennial skinnies will be back out in full force. But for a fresh 2012 update I’ll be throwing on this grey tweed knit biker jacket over a simple white tee and adorning it with one of this season’s statement rhinestone necklaces.
I can just sense that this denim chambray shirt is going to become a staple in my new season wardrobe. Worn over leather skinnies and biker boots for a laid back weekend look or tucked into a printed skirt for casual workwear.
