Vanity Fair has just released its 2010 Best Dressed List, celebrating the individuality and originality of the iconic fashion figures in the spotlight this year – let’s see who made the cut! 

It’s no surprise that the fashion-forward Lady Gaga, Vanity Fair’s September cover girl who is known for her bold style, made it under the Originals category.

Correspondent Amy Fine Collins stated on The Today Show, “People who make the list are individuals.  They don’t look like everyone else.  They tend to be fashion leaders, not followers.  They set the trends, not follow them.”  This statement certainly holds true to Lady Gaga, as well as actresses Carey Mulligan and Helena Bonham-Carter who also earned spots on the list.

First ladies seem to have dominated the fashion limelight this year, with the U.S.’s Michelle Obama and France’s Carla Bruni-Sarkozy making the top of the list.  Also recognized is the UK’s own Samantha Cameron, the first visibly pregnant first lady on Vanity Fair’s annual list.
