Mad Hatter's Tea Party

For a less traditional afternoon tea, head straight to the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party at Sanderson Hotel.

You don’t need to fall down a hole to get there, but you will be offered the ‘Drink Me’ and ‘Eat Me’ options to grow bigger and shrink..if only the shrinking worked on my waistline.

The Alice in Wonderland-themed tea party draws on a number of the subjects found in Lewis Carroll’s famous childhood book. This includes chocolate versions of the rabbit’s clock, “Drink Me” and “Eat Me” delicacies, as a delicious mango and coconut shake and a delicate strawberry mousse. Accompanied by a glass of Champagne or a fabulously decadent afternoon cocktail and a great choice of teas, this really is a fun way to spend the afternoon in one of the prettiest gardens in the West End.

Eat Me, Drink Me sweets at the Mad Hatter's Tea Party

Other sweets include bluberry lollipops that turn from hot to cold, hazelnut praline ice cream lollipops, chocolate and coffee sponge cake, and rainbow-coloured finger sandwiches. Scones with clotted cream and jam are also included, it wouldn’t be afternoon tea in London without them!

The Mad Hatter’s Tea Party takes place everyday from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the beautiful Courtyard Garden at The Sanderson Hotel, and is priced at £35 per person.
