Bistro du Vin

Bistro du Vin

Bistro du Vin Soho has officially flung it’s doors open at 36 Dean Street, in Soho. It’s a large, modern French brasserie, which has the same buzz Quaglinos used to have in it’s hay day, when we all “borrowed” the ash trays.

There is a Cave au Fromage where you can choose from a wonderful section of cheeses and a “Wine by the Glass” dispensing system, where you can buy a pre-paid card and help yourselves to your wine of choice, ranging from £6 through to £30 per glass.

The menu is simple, with the emphasis being on locally sourced seasonal produce, from ‘food heroes’ including local farmers, fisherman and butchers.  They do a hearty plat du jour, which changes daily, wonderful steak tartare, classics like moules frites and a great selection of different cuts of steak.
