Eating the 7 Dials

I am always a bit scared of Covent Garden. It’s full of people aggressively shopping and bemused looking tourists staring at strange, sliver painted, out-of-work actors.  In the past few weeks I’ve had a few meetings in Covent Garden and despite shuddering at the thought of visiting the area, they have actually all been in the Seven Dials area, which is completely different and thankfully free of anyone painted silver!

On the food front it’s on the money; intensely rich coffee from the Monmouth Coffee Company and insanely camp cakes from the Willy Wonker style Candy Cakes store. There are also some serious restaurants including Joel Robuchon’s superb L’Atelier Restaurant on West Street and the darling of every A Lister, The Ivy. Despite not being and A-Lister myself, well perhaps around V-List, I really enjoy The Ivy… especially their burger.

London is my favourite city in the world and food wise I believe we are miles ahead of anywhere else. It’s so exciting to see so much choice in one tiny area and I am very excited to announce that Peter Gordon will be opening his latest venture, Kopapa, a cafe/restaurant, serving his fantastic fusion food, in December this year on Monmouth Street. Bring it on London!

Seven Dials is doing an exclusive shopping night on 25th November where loads of restaurants, bars and shops will be offering 25% off. It will be definitely worth checking out to see what is nestled in this little area of Covent Garden.
