If Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory is your ultimate foodie fantasy then it’s likely you won’t want to miss Baketopia, a wholly edible pop up shop launching in London’s Kingly Court in celebration of National Baking Week.

National Baking Week

Yes, you read that correctly. The entire pop up shop will be filled with a magical meadow landscape of baked goods for guests to devour. There will be frog-shaped cookies to dip into a milk fountain, you’ll be able to forage for meringue mushrooms, break off pieces of honeycomb from the bee hive, attempt to catch pastry butterflies and even tug hyper-real carrot cakes from a chocolate cookie soil to munch on.

But for Miss Cakehead (who has curated the pop up) along with her artisan friends The Tattooed Bakers, Nevie Pie Cakes, Caking It and the Conjurer’s Kitchen, the piece de resistance has to be the rainbow cake unicorn (made to the scale of a shetland pony) which will be adorned with edible gold leaf hooves and horns.

Baketopia Edible Pop Up opens on October 11th and 12th at Kingly Court, Carnaby Street. To show their appreciation, guests will be encouraged to make a £2 donation to Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity, National Baking Week’s charity partner. All donations will go towards a ward kitchen for the hospital’s brand new respiratory unit.

Guests can book priority entry to the pop up feast at baketopia.eventbrite.com
