Foodie hipsters rejoice! We’ve discovered a new app called FoodShareFilter that will give you the ultimate excuse to up your Instagram #foodporn game and quiet the #haters, as it’s all for a good cause.

The application was created by DDB Spain and the idea is to use the filter on photos of food, upload them to Instagram and include the #FoodShareFilter, which leaves the message, “This picture helps millions of people not to suffer hunger” as a comment on your post. This process will ensure the donation of money to an El Salvadoran charity and the whole Insta-community will know your snapshotting obsession is fueled by doing a good deed.
The $0.99 it costs to download from the App Store and the $1.16 on Google Play gets donated to an agricultural program in El Salvador run by Manos Unidas. Manos Unidas is a Spanish organization promoting development in third-world countries. Lucky for us this app is available in English, too! So, get to snapping your dinner for those who may not have any tonight.
