Show Your Patriotism: Run Britannia

Run Britannia

If, like me, you spent the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee showing your support from beneath a soggy umbrella or more likely, sat in front of the tv – it’s time to get actively patriotic.

And what better way than joining the fabulous exercise bunnies over at Sweaty Betty for their Run Britannia event. Throughout July and August,  our favourite women’s sportswear boutique will be hosting four 5 k runs, each of which will start at one of four Sweaty Betty boutiques, with routes travelling around some of London’s most iconic landmarks. Choose from the greenery of Hyde Park to the grandeur of Buckingham Palace, the scale of Big Ben to the imposing Houses of Parliament.

So, whether you take inspiration from the Olympics, or your newly purchased bikini, it’s time to grab your running shoes and join Run Britannia.

We can’t think of a better, or more healthy, way to celebrate a historical year for London.

From the 16th July to the 12th August. The runs will take place everyday from four Sweaty Betty iconic boutique locations Soho, Kensington, Harrods and the Kings Road.

From the 16th – 27th July one run a day will be on offer from alternating boutiques, stepping it up to 4 runs a day from each boutique from 30th July – 12th August.

And if you want to go all-out in flying the British flag, we’re loving these pieces from Sweaty Betty’s recent God Save the Queen collection.
