Stuck for what to do with your tiny tykes over the Easter? Well, why not get them involved with Kenco Eco Refill Young Designer competition, fronted by Ben Fogle.

The competition encourages children (6-12-years-old), and their families, to reduce and reuse household waste in an imaginative way, thus becoming ‘upcylcers’. The winner will gain the title of Young Eco Designer 2010 and an amazing trip to New York with their family (where they can visit TerraCycle, Kenco’s ‘upcylcing partner’).

Ben will be travelling around the country over the Easter holidays in a Kenco ‘upcycled’ Routmaster bus, to get people involved and give the youngsters inspiration. The bus will be stopping at Chester Zoo, London Zoo and Longleat Safari Park.

“Kids have the most amazing imagination so I can’t wait to see what designs they come up with. Young Eco Designer is a fantastic competition for children and their families to be involved in, and shows how we can re-think the idea of rubbish“, says Ben Fogle, head judge on Young Eco Designer. “I’ll even be giving it a go myself!”

If you think you or a family member is creative, original and has a passion for a challenge, then submit your ideas by the 30th April. For more information and an entry form, visit www.kenco.co.uk.
