The Raw Smoothie

The summer may well be coming to an end (anyone else noticed the sudden nip in the air?), but that’s no reason to give up the healthy eating, clean living lifestyle or indeed to carry on the ice-creaming-eating, sangria-guzzling that you’ve adopted over the past few months (we know which category we fall into!). So whether you’re after a healthy diet kick start or have been looking for a boost, the Nosh Detox Raw Smoothies are the perfect option.
The famous home-delivery service, Nosh Detox, popular with celebrities including Gwyneth Paltrow, has launched a world first by way of their 100% raw smoothie range. Where standard smoothies are heat treated using a gentle pasteurisation method, The Raw Smoothies undergo an exclusive cold press technique known as HIgh Pressure Processing (or HPP), which allows the fruit and other ingredients to retain more of their naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, antioxidants and enzymes.
There are four smoothies in the range, each boasting unique benefits.
To calm & soothe choose the Mango, Blueberry and Acai Raw Smoothie – tangy and vibrant, perfect mid-afternoon pre-deadline treat.
To boost & energise choose the Almond, Banana, Chia and Oat Raw Smoothie – thick, tasty and filling, this was my breakfast choice.
To revitalise & rejuvenate choose the Apple, Mint and Spirulina Raw Smoothie – nutritious with a kick, after a restless night this brought me back to the land of the living, no caffeine needed.
To restore & build choose the Coconut, Banana and Chia Raw Smoothie – this was my post-workout treat. Seriously tasty and with a similar creamy texture to a milkshake, I can see this being a regular addition to my diet.
Oh and did we mention, they’re made with love.
Nosh Detox’s Raw Smoothies, £3.49 are available now from Wholefoods, Planet Organic and online at www.therawsmoothie.com.

Several questions raethr than answers come to mind. I assume you wanted to lose weight raethr than gain it? (Some people want to gain.) Can you rule out added muscle mass no new exercise pattern? When Dr. Fuhrman has people tell him that despite eating high-nutrition, low-calorie foods (as I am teaching you to do here), they gain weight, he says to them, Let’s go to your pantry and fridge and analyze from there. He says he has yet to have anyone take him up on that. (Enough said.)Unlike Dr. Fuhrman, I take people at face value. But if you are truly keeping nuts and good oils to the small amounts I recommend, then my suggestion to you would be to get a full blood panel workup at a hormone clinic. Getting a T-3 test from a general practitioner or OB/GYN isn’t going to be helpful the interplay of T-3 and a variety of other measures will ascertain whether you have a hypothyroid issue. That’s the only common reason I know of why someone eating right and not eating excessive calories would be gaining weight.(I know this because it happened to me when I was 34 and my thyroid died. I am a downwinder here in Utah where radioactive fallout affected many and I was a baby at that time drinking the milk of cows that had hundreds of times more radioactive material in it than deemed safe by our government, thanks to the contaminated grass they ate. Probably because of this, I have low thyroid issues. I deal with it by consuming kelp and dulse regularly, eating whole foods, and taking bioidentical thyroid. Please find a clinic specializing in bioidentical hormone raethr than the synthetics like Synthroid, Cytomel, etc., which will burn out your thyroid further and cause elevated risk of cancer.)
