She may be one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but could you seriously imagine Angelina Jolie working at a funeral parlour?

In a recent interview with CBS’s 60 Minutes, the actress admitted that if she didn’t become an actress, she would have wanted to have a career as a funeral director. She even took the classes needed for the job.

“It sounds like this very strange, eccentric, dark thing to do but in fact I lost my grandfather and was very upset with his funeral. How somebody passes and how family deals with this passing and what death is should be addressed in a different way. If this whole acting thing didn’t work out that was going to be my path.”

Angie does wear a lot of black on the red carpet, so we guess we could see her directing funerals, but it’s definitely not the dream career we would have guessed she’d go for!

Angelina Jolie

Looks like Angelina Jolie’s not taking her life for granted  as she’s been quoted saying that she’s very “lucky” to have not died young.

The Oscar-winning actress is famed for her wild past – including a period where she experimented with hard drugs and self-harming – and is grateful she’s still alive as she knows it could have turned out much differently.

The 36-year-old actress said: “I went through heavy, darker times and I survived them. I didn’t die young, so I’m very lucky. There are other artists and people who didn’t survive certain things.

People can imagine I did the most dangerous and the worst. For many reasons, I shouldn’t be here. You just think [about] those times when you came too close to too many dangerous things, too many chances taken, too far.”

Angelina – who raises six children with partner Brad Pitt - admits her life has calmed down but she will always have a wild side to her personality.

She told Bob Simon on CBS’ ’60 Minutes’: “I’m still a bad girl. I still have that side of me. It’s just in its place now. It belongs to Brad. Or our adventures.”

Angelina has always been very open about her past and has previously spoken candidly about her drug use, saying: “In the past I took just every drug possible, coke, ecstasy, heroin, everything.”

Angelina Jolie and Louis Vuitton look like the perfect match in their new 18 month campaign (the first image was released last month).

In the video the actress shows a side of her that the camera rarely focuses on, as we learn about her values, children, and love for Cambodia.

Aishwarya Rai in Elie Saab Couture and Angelina Jolie in Salvatore Ferragamo

Perhaps the most beautiful dress and celeb seen on Day 1 of Cannes was Aishwarya Rai, who wore a cream embroidered Elie Saab Couture gown. The peplum detailing is unexpected and utterly sweet – it really makes the gown. I also creates nice contrast with the racy one-shoulder neckline and sexy fitted shape; the gown truly stands out among the abundance of predictable satin ball gowns. The pale off-white color looks gorgeous on Rai’s bronze skin, and her soft updo and shimmery makeup radiate elegance.

Angelina Jolie looked gorgeous (as usual), but also a bit boring in her head-to-toe Salvatore Ferragamo look worn to Cannes this morning. Her draped beige knee-length dress is definitely attractive and very flattering, but for something as glamorous as the Cannes Film Festival, she could have at least worn exciting shoes – it’s hard to stifle a yawn when looking at her low beige pumps. Then again, Jolie was in attendance for her vocal role in Kung Fu Panda 2, so it’s quite possible she didn’t want to wear something overly extravagant… It makes a bit of sense.

Worth a million dollars. Ten million, in fact!

Joining the ranks of Jennifer Lopez and Madonna, Angelina Jolie is set to become the new face of Louis Vuitton in a deal reportedly worth 10 million dollars.

Well, that’ll keep her seven thousand kids happy for a while!

The print-only campaign, which is scheduled to launch this summer, will be marketed globally.

A source familiar with the deal between Jolie and the French fashion behemoth tells E! News that the actress will get paid “close to $10 million” for her high-end endorsement deal, believed to be the most lucrative of her career.

A rep for Louis Vuitton had no comment. Jolie’s publicist did not return calls seeking comment.

The Tourist

How long have we all been waiting for this?… Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie onscreen together for the first time ever in their new film, The Tourist.

Synposis:

Johnny Depp stars as an American tourist whose playful dalliance with a stranger leads to a web of intrigue, romance and danger in The Tourist.  During an impromptu trip to Europe to mend a broken heart, Frank (Depp) unexpectedly finds himself in a flirtatious encounter with Elise (Angelina Jolie), an extraordinary woman who deliberately crosses his path.  Against the breathtaking backdrop of Paris and Venice, their whirlwind romance quickly evolves as they find themselves unwittingly thrust into a deadly game of cat and mouse.

Although Angelina looks a bit thin, her hairdresser deserves a medal! Check out her gorgeous locks in the trailer below:

Tom Hardy

With all the super hero flicks that are slated to be released in the near future, we’re really excited to hear about this fairytale film.  Universal picked up the film Snow White and the Huntsman last month and as excited we are to see this classical story come to life, we’re just as excited about the casting.

It’s rumoured that the handsome Tom Hardy will be playing the lead role of Eric, the Huntsman, who is ordered by the Evil Queen to kill Snow White.  And rumoured to play the part of the Ravenna, the Evil Queen?  As far as we’re hearing, it’s a tossup between Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron.  We’d be delighted to see either of these actresses take on the role.  The role of Snow White will supposedly be going to an unknown (and casting calls are currently underway here in the UK!).
