Jennifer Lopez has hit back against claims that her pop career has been left in ruins after she was dropped from Sony. Her seventh album Love was due for release this year, but after Jennifer “parted company” with the music giant the future of her album looked uncertain. Jennifer decided to address the issues with the following statement,

“I am making this statement to put an end to any confusion in regards to my next album, titled Love. I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success. I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label. I’m also happy to say that we’ve found a new home for my album Love? and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010.”

Hmm could this be the end of J-Lo’s pop career? Will she have to fall back on her ‘acting career’?

So Beyonce’s first fragrance ‘Heat’ had its debut over in the States this week.

Taking centre stage in a red hot gown (we’re sensing a theme here) she showed off the scent  in NYC.

Jared Leto

There was a time when Jared Leto ruled the silver screen and adorned the walls of hundreds of teen bedrooms, well gone are those days, it seems now he can’t even get into the VIP area. Yes Jared got snubbed at The Runways after party.

Jared and a whole host of celebs headed to the Goldbar in Park City, but when he tried to get into the VIP area at the Sundance fete he was sent away. When the bouncer refused him entry Jared said “Don’t you know who I am?” to which security replied, “Actually, no.”

Oh that’s got to be embarrassing, looks like he won’t be partying with Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning anytime soon.

Lily Allen

Now she’s decided to take a break from music we hear Lily Allen wants to have a baby.  Lily let slip that she and boyfriend Sam Cooper’s desire to start a family is the real reason for her planned hiatus. She told fans at Australia’s Big Day Out festival in Brisbane: “I want to have a baby. I’m not saying I’m pregnant now. Shut up, Lily. Shut up, Lily. That’s the sort of stuff that gets me into trouble I suppose.”

She also admitted recently: “I’m not a careerist, what I really want is to be a mum. I am driven, but that drive goes as far as keeping a roof over my head and having a routine.

Despite their intentions, Lily recently denied speculation she and Sam are engaged.

Kanye West and Amber Rose

Well would you believe it? Kanye West is to marry his model girlfriend Amber Rose. We hear he is reportedly planning to whisk her away to the Caribbean early next year to propose. A friend said: “He has really bonded with her since losing his mother and needs another strong woman in his life.”

The pair are heading to an eight-bedroom, £2,000-a-night villa in the Dominican Republic for the romantic occasion.  The source added to Britain’s Daily Star newspaper: “He’s very serious, otherwise he wouldn’t be spending that much money on her.”

Courtney Love

Courtney Love has lost custody of her daughter. According to court documents, guardianship of Frances Bean Cobain, 17, has been awarded to Wendy O’Connor and Kimberly Dawn Cobain, the respective mother and sister of Frances’ late Nirvana frontman father Kurt Cobain.

The temporary guardianship of 17-year-old Frances was awarded on Friday, and although no reasons for the decision have been released, the change in custody arrangements follows a turbulent period in Courtney’s personal life. Apparently the decision was made because Frances wanted to live with her grandmother rather than Courtney…that one has got to hurt.

A hearing to appoint a general guardian for the teenager is pending.

Lily Allen

Lily Allen got caught up in a bar fight, and shock horror this time she didn’t start it. Lily was out celebrating her sister’s birthday at Paradise in Kensal Green when police were called to break up the fight. A source told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper: “Lily and her family had all got to Paradise to have a nice meal for Sarah’s birthday but there seemed to have been a mix up with the rooms. The group that were in there were apparently quite rowdy and worse for wear. Lily and her family were trying to ask them to move but once they saw Lily they got really mouthy. There was some pushing and shoving as they refused to move and someone called police.”
