Lanvin Summer 2012 Campaign

Snakes, sunnies, and sex appeal reign supreme in Lanvin’s Summer 2012 campaign.

Captured by photographer Steven Meisel, the latest video from the French fashion house features an exotic dinner party where models wearing flowing gowns and tailored suits, layer themselves with snakes.

The ad comes from the creative direction of House and Holme and features up and coming it-girls Aymeline Valade and Marte Mei van Haaster, as well as models Aaron Vernon and Angus Lowe.

The somewhat sinister video is set to the edgy pop sounds of Maxine Ashley’s new single “Cookieman”, which is written and produced by hip hop mogul Pharell Williams. The track is the first single off of Ashley’s upcoming debut album.

Stella McCartney

To celebrate the launch of her new fragrance, L.I.L.Y, Stella McCartney will make an exclusive appearance at Selfridges Oxford Street TONIGHT (8th February)!

The first 100 people to purchase a 50 ml (£60) or 75 ml (£76) bottle of the fragrance tomorrow will get to meet Stella and have their parfum bottle signed by the designer between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Stella said L.I.L.Y stands for “Linda, I Love You” and was her father’s nickname for her mother. The earthy yet seductive fragrance incorporates the smells of spring, including lily of the valley, moss and truffles.

The worldwide launch of L.I.L.Y. is exclusive to Selfridges and available nationwide starting 15th February.

The Muppets Movie out 10 Feb.

To mark the release of the much-anticipated Muppets movie, Disney has launched a vast Muppets-inspired collection that includes everything from clothing and beauty products to clothing, accessories and toys. Each product embodies the personality of your favourite Muppet, whether it kindhearted Kermit the Frog or mighty Miss Piggy, and has something for Muppets fans of all ages. Go see the movie, it’s the most uplifting thing you’ll see this year, Jason Segel has done such a great job with the script.

Missy Piggy’s Premiere

The Muppets fashions even expand into haute couture thanks to fashion designer Giles Deacon’s exclusive red carpet look for Miss Piggy. The silver leather dress, designed for our preferred pig to wear to the Muppets London premiere, is based on a dress from Deacon’s S/S 2011 collection and is embroidered with Swarovski Elements to give the star a sparkle.

Deacon said he is honoured to design a dress for the iconic character.

What would Hollywood be without Red Carpet Glamour?

We’ve rounded up our top looks from last year’s leading ladies, these women really know how to rock a red carpet.

Who has your favourite look?

She's single ... and ready to sparkle! Though Jennifer Lopez had an emotional year, she's made her many red carpet appearances count – whether she was flashing some leg at the Grammys, leading the pack at the Met Gala or greeting the royals in high style at the BAFTA Gala.

One of 2011's "It" girls, Emma Stone had plenty of time to shine on the red carpet thanks to her two big hits, The Help and Crazy, Stupid, Love. The redhead brought a touch of class to the MTV Movie Awards, sparked a colorblocking trend after wearing a peplum number to her Friends with Benefits premiere and made elegant look easy at an N.Y.C. gala.

Carrying a film for the first time, the Colombiana star finally got to unleash her inner leading lady. Zoe Saldana was stylish and sweet on the Cannes red carpet, then showed off her sassy side at the MTV Video Music Awards, before going full-on glam for the Latin Grammys

A cookbook, guest appearances on Glee and a grisly Contagion death scene catapulted Paltrow back into the rankings of red carpet royalty. She lit up the Oscars, made old Hollywood glamour look new again at the Venice Film Festival and worked color into her palette as the face of Coach.

In an effort to avoid a droopy black and grey wardrobe for winter, we’ve been inspired by all the colour blocking celebrity fashion.

Clearly a daring look, wearing bright colours is no easy challenge. Try not to make the colours match, but rather coordinate and compliment each other.

Amy Winehouse for Fred Perry Collection

The late Amy Winehouse will always be one of our favourite singers, and now even fashion designers. Her collection with Fred Perry was set to open weeks after her tragic death, but after much consideration with her family, the collection is now available.

In a statement made by her family it was said, “Amy was passionate and dedicated to the collaboration and her signature style is clearly stamped across each piece.”

Warehouse Petal Keyhole Dress available at ASOS

Whether you like it or not, the keyholes and cut out details on dresses are making a definite comeback this season.

Basic rules of trying a dress with cut outs is that it needs to be the right fit and length. It can’t have holes in inappropriate areas that don’t allow you to bend down, and shouldn’t be too loose because then it looks unflattering. If you can find a balance,  and you’ve mastered this celebrity favourite!

The best ones we found out there are from ASOS because the dresses are a bit more whimsical, everyday wear pieces and the tailoring was just right for this trend. The blue Warehouse Petal Keyhole Dress (far left) looks great in the spring with sandals, but in the winter pairing it with tights, layers and a pair of platforms gives it a modern cool vibe. And this dress is on sale for £48 during the holiday season.

The other keyhole dress we loved at ASOS was the Oasis Embellished Cuff Keyhole Tunic (below) because of its high scoop neckline, puff shoulders, beading to the cuffs and a tie front belt to the waist. And for £45 this dress is well worth the money.
