British Fashion Awards royalty Victoria Beckham, Marc Jacobs and Kate Moss

This year’s British Fashion Awards brought out the best of the best, and we weren’t disappointed by their fashion choices for the night either!

We loved Victoria Beckham’s understated gothic glamour look! Usually she tends to go for something a bit more edgy, but this backless gown is chic and appropriate for such a formal night. And since she won Designer Brand of the Year, VB is definitely giving all those young designers a run for their money.

Obviously, Sarah Burton was the queen of the night. With the royal wedding dress and Savage Beauty exhibition, 2011 was the year of Sarah Burton and Alexander McQueen. And the Outstanding Achievement Award went to the well-deserved designer, Sir Paul Smith.

For the second year in a row, the public voted for the television presenter Alexa Chung who looked quirky as usual but with a slight over tan.

The Model of The Year award went to Stella Tennant, the 40-year-old Mitford-scion, who is known for her Zara campaigns. And surprisingly, Charlotte Dellal for Charlotte Olympia beat out Mulberry in the Accessory Designer category. And just because they're not designers, doesn't mean they can't show out! Model Abbey Clancey donned a studded gown, Colin Firth and his wife Livia, who continued her Green Carpet Challenge in a Henrietta Ludgate gown and beauty model Kelly Brook in a white asymmetric gown.

Victoria Beckham at WWD CEO Summit

It looks like Victoria Beckham is taking a break from Harper Seven and watching her boys play football, to step into the limelight once more at the WWD CEO Summit in New York.

The designer showed off a super slim figure (considering she’s just had a baby!) in one of her own SS12 designs, a navy and black skin tight number, with the dubiously designer new Christian Louboutin shoe boots…

Looks like Eva Longoria is getting broody!

The Desperate Housewives star joined Victoria Beckham in the VIP box at David’s LA Galaxy football game against the New York Red Bulls.

Eva looked seriously broody as she fawned over little Harper Seven at the match and we can’t blame her… the baby girl did look super cute!

The trio were also joined in the VIP box by Zac Efron… lucky them.

One of Britain’s biggest fashion exports, Victoria Beckham, has debuted her first full Spring/Summer 2012 collection at New York Fashion Week and by the looks of it she’s gone all sporty for this one.

Using utility as a reference, many of the pieces had the perfect minimalist tone that could be worn by the everyday woman. Complete with a simple colour palette of navy, cream, black and glowing pastels, the flow of dresses complimented both day and evening wear.

Her signature hourglass cut dresses were inevitably the focus, but to the surprise of many, practical jackets and flat sandals were present on the runway. Could it be that with the recent birth of her new baby girl, Harper Seven (and with the development of her recent back problems of course), Beckham realised the effortless glamour in mesh dresses and staple pieces?

Primarily, the collection was compiled upon well-constructed proportions in various volumes that has definitely expanded from Beckham’s previous collection of slim-fitted dresses complete with pale models and slicked backed hair.

Although none of the pieces were innovative, all of the above were essential and continue to make Beckham one of the few successful celebrity fashion designers.

Victoria Beckham has given birth to a baby girl!

The fashion designer and her soccer star husband David – who already have three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, together – welcomed their daughter into the world yesterday morning (10.07.11) at Los Angeles’ Cedars Sinai hospital.

The tot weighed 7lbs 10oz and her name has now been revealed as Harper Seven Beckham!

A spokesman for the couple – who have been married for 12 years – said yesterday: “David and Victoria Beckham are delighted to announce the birth of their daughter.

“Happy and healthy she arrived at 7.55 am this morning at Cedars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.

“Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz are excited to welcome their new baby sister to the family.”

Victoria – who has made no secret of her desire to have a daughter – recently said she felt “blessed” to be pregnant again even though it’s tough being a working mother.

The 37-year-old star said: “As any working mother out there knows, it really is like juggling glass balls when you’ve got the kids and a husband to look after, and you’re passionate about your career.

“But I wouldn’t have it any other way. I’m blessed.”

What do you think of the name choice? We like Harper…. but Seven? Could the month and David’s Manchester United number have had something to do with it?

David Beckham has apparently gone a bit OTT with the preparations for the arrival of his new baby girl (due to be delivered by caesarean section today) and there is already “so much pink” in his house ready for her arrival.

The soccer superstar’s wife Victoria Beckham is booked in to deliver the baby via a caesarean section at a hospital in California, and the sportsman admits it is a very exciting and new experience to have so many girls’ things in their male-dominated home.

David – who has three sons, Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, with Victoria – said: “It’s a whole new, different thing for us. To have so much pink in the house, lilac in the house and dresses. All the clothes are ready, the room’s ready. We’re really excited.”

David – whose little one will be born on American Independence Day – admits the date will always be a “special day” for the couple because they wed on the same date in 1999.

Speaking at the launch of his club Los Angeles Galaxy’s new strip, he added: “Obviously we got married on July 4, 12 years ago, Monday, so it’s a special day for us, it always has been and always will be.”

David has been downloading Beatles songs ready for the arrival of their daughter, which has sparked further speculation the couple might name her Jude after the British band’s song ‘Hey Jude’.

A source recently said: “They’ve narrowed the names to three – and they’re keeping them a secret.

“Romeo wants to call her Justine Bieber, which is obviously off the list, but Brooklyn is a Beatles fan and suggested Jude, which David and Victoria actually like.”

Christian Louboutin’s teetering platforms are the go-to shoe for stars like Colleen Rooney and Victoria Beckham (who even wears them to the football pitch) – but the designer has outdone himself with his latest piece of footwear.

Louboutin created a pair of 8-inch, Swarovski-encrusted heels based on the classic ballet point shoe, and are set to be auctioned off to raise funds for the English National Ballet.

Other designers like Erdem, Moschino and Giles Deacon are donating unique ballet-inspired pieces as well – though Louboutin’s take the cake for the most outrageous.  These ‘heels’ don’t even look wearable! We’re only hoping whoever buys them simply puts them on display as a piece of art and doesn’t actually try to tip-toe around town in them.

It seems to be that little ones are on the brain for Victoria Beckham as WWD.com announce she is about to launch a diffusion line, Victoria by Victoria Beckham, aimed at a younger audience in Spring 2012.

Apparently it’s been in the works for about the same time she’s been pregnant as she recalled to WWD.com: “One of my team said, ‘It would be funny if you found out you were having a girl.’ Because this is the most girly collection I’ve ever created.”

Pricewise, apparently the collection is set for the £350 – £560 range and shows a departure from the niche aspect of the brand, something that Zach Duane (Beckham’s de facto chief executive officer) pointed out: “We had to do something,” he says, “or we’d be a niche brand forever.”

The line is inspired the cartoon character Emily the Strange and is modelled on what Victoria would wear herself.
She said: “The perfect little summer dress, something that was fun, something that was girly, something that was easy to wear, something that would take you from day through the night.”

We always love seeing what new looks Victoria Beckham comes out with and we were actually quite impressed when she braved ditching her perfectly curly, brunette weave in 2007. Although it was a pity it was replaced by the angular ‘pob‘ in an overly harsh blonde tone.

The now-famous cut it gets a definite DON’T from us, especially with that fake tan!

Eva Longoria and Victoria Beckham

Victoria Beckham has asked Eva Longoria to be the Godmother of her unborn daughter.

The singer-turned-fashion designer is expecting her fourth child in July – a much-longed for girl – and she and her soccer star husband David have decided to give the ‘Desperate Housewives’ actress an important role in the tot’s life.

A friend of the couple – who already have sons Brooklyn, 12, Romeo, eight, and six-year-old Cruz, together – told The Sun newspaper: “Victoria ran it past David and they both want Eva. She’s extremely honoured.”

Victoria and Eva became close friends after the former Spice Girl moved to Los Angeles in 2007 following David’s move to the Los Galaxy soccer team.

Last year, Victoria helped support Eva through her marriage split from basketball star Tony Parker and in May, Eva throw Victoria a pink-themed baby shower alongside celebrity hairdresser Ken Paves.

The star-studded event took place at the Petit L’Ermitage hotel in West Hollywood and Eva ensured the venue was decorated with pink tablecloths, flowers and chairs.

Victoria tweeted after the party: “Such a lovely day!!!thank u so much @EvaLongoria and @KenPaves for being such wonderful friends.Baby showers are so much fun!!!!!!!x vb (sic)”
