Nuz Shugaa has magical hands – well I think so and a wide fan-base of celebrities and A-listers would agree, so it’s not just me. Even a 30 minute lunchtime facial had people telling me my skin was glowing, but it’s not just Nuz and her magic hands that complete the picture. Her years of experience and worldwide search for simple and effective products and treatments really has paid off. Nuz works with only the best ingredients that have no added ’nasties’. She doesn’t believe in botox but does believe that you can keep your skin looking and feeling youthful with regular facials by an expert facialist. My only experience with Nuz, and I really hope it won’t be my last, was when I went along to trial a new treatment, the Green Peel Facial, which she has introduced to The Beauty Lounge in London’s Soho.   This facial combines a selection of products from the Energys Resonance  range (The Beauty Lounge has salon exclusivity for these) plus a killer added ingredient which has been used by Geisha’s for several thousand years. Nightingale poo isn’t something I would normally want to put anywhere near my skin but this has been thoroughly sterilised and made into a powder which cleanses skin like no other ingredient I have tried. Victoria Beckham uses it, and Nuz has been using it to great effect with her celebrity clients for a while.

Although 30 minutes doesn’t sound very long for such an effective facial, the quality of the Energys Resonance products really does have a lasting effect and I am writing this four days after the facial and my skin is still looking clear and radiant. Nuz starts with the Skin Purity Cleanser which she massaged into my face and neck, removing it with a hot muslin. Next came the Gently Exfoliant to remove dead skincells and any hard to shift London grime. She then applied the Nightingale poo powder in paste form which worked it’s magic after only a few minutes. This masque which I didn’t want to think about too much although it did smell a bit earthy, was then removed and my skin sprayed with Youthful Skin Elixir which I have carried in my handbag ever since for an instant boost. She then massaged my skin (again those magic hands) with an appropriate moisturiser.

Victoria Beckham and Matthew Williamson at the Range Rover event

Victoria Beckham has become the new Creative Design Executive for Range Rover, she has been asked to create the interior of the luxury car firm’s new Range Rover Evoque and she can’t wait to get started on her new job.

Speaking at the 40th anniversary party for the brand, Victoria said: “This is a very exciting collaboration. The classic British heritage of Range Rover and the effortless style, quality and beauty is something I truly admire and also what I hope to achieve with my own brand. I am honoured to take on this role and be part of the creative team.”
The new car will be available in four-wheel and two-wheel drive versions and will make its official public debut at the Paris Motor Show in September.

Gerry McGovern, Land Rover and Range Rover Design Director, said of the collaboration: “Victoria understands luxury products - she is a Range Rover fan and has been a Range Rover owner for many years. I believe this appointment adds a new dimension to my design team as we continue to design products to appeal to a wider audience.”

Victoria Beckham

She’s rumoured to be in the gym seven days a week in order to keep her childishly-thin figure in shape, however now Victoria Beckham seems to have found a new excercise routine to keep her slim. A cross between Yoga and Astrology, Yogastrology, introduced to her by fellow fitness-freak Jennifer Aniston.

A source close to the star said Victoria hates the gym so is always looking for new alternatives: “She bought the Yogalosophy DVD and does her workout at home up to four times a week to ‘align her mind and spirit’. She’s really starting to notice the difference”.

The exercise regime is the brainchild of personal trainer Mandy Ingber, who created the DVD in order to ‘incorporate yoga into other exercise programmes’.

Steve Martin And Alec Baldwin

When hundreds of celebrities are all in the same room, there is bound to be more to talk about than red carpet fashion and the winners. Lucky for us, the Academy Awards brought along all the gossip we had hoped for.

Well start with the red carpet happenings. Gerard Butler became impatient after having to wait for Victoria Beckham to pose for the paparazzi, so he decided to skip them all together and go into the show without getting a single picture snapped of him. He was still able to talk to other stars, including Gabourey Sidibe, who said she would, “hit that.” While being interviewed by Billy Bush, the three of them even joked about getting champagne, a room, and seeing where the night took them. Miley Cyrus showed up with her mother Tish, but when asked about rumours of her romance with her Last Kiss costar Liam Hemsworth, she stated that they were indeed true. She was shyer when asked if she was in love, replying with a quiet, “maybe.”

Nine sneaky Germans were arrested after trying to sneak into the Oscars. They made it onto the Red Carpet with fake passes with both MTV and CITI logos on them, but were stopped before entering the Kodak Theatre.

Kathryn Bigelow, director of best picture winning The Hurt Locker, was seated directly in front of her ex-husband and competition James Cameron. He was none-to-pleased when his multi-million dollar Avatar didn’t win out, but he was congratulated her on becoming the first female to ever win best director.

Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin hosted the event together and received mixed reviews. Some of their jokes fell flat, but they were able to play off each other to keep the momentum going. They called out each of the nominees one by one, even wearing 3-D glasses while taking a stab at Avatar.

Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams

After presenting together, Jake Gyllenhaal and Rachel McAdams chatted for quite some time, spawning rumors of a new match. He even introduced her to a friend saying, “This is Rachel, she is the mother of my child.”

Demi Moore walked onstage wearing a ruffled Versace dress to introduce the “In Memoriam” section of the show, paying tribute to deceased actors. During this annual event, the Academy failed to mention Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur, greatly upsetting their family members.

After losing the best supporting actor category, Matt Damon and Stanley Tucci shared a glass of champagne and toasted winner Christoph Waltz.

With slumping ratings last year, producers this year tried to get young viewers to tune in a keep watching. They hired DJ Joel Madden to spin mixes during breaks to create a “party atmosphere” and ratings skyrocketed.

Sean Penn

Finally, it wouldn’t be a good celebrity-filled event if there wasn’t a rumoured fight. So you won’t be disappointed to hear that, according to E!Online, Sean Penn got in a punch up with Greg Shapiro, one of the Oscar-winning producers of ‘The Hurt Locker’, who is said to be dating Penn’s former partner, Robin Wright. Although his rep denies any confrontation sources told E!Online that “minutes after Penn and Shaprio came face-to-face, Academy officials said he was banned from the Ball”. Oh dear, oh dear.

Alexander McQueen & SJP

We were all saddened and shocked by the news of Alexander McQueen’s tragic death yesterday. The fashion world has lost one of its greats, across the globe celebs he famously dressed and fellow designers have paid tribute to fashion icon Alexander McQueen.

Sarah Jessica Parker:
‘I am shocked and overcome with grief upon learning about the untimely death of the quiet genius Alexander McQueen. My heart goes out to his family and all those who worked for and with him.
What is more devastating is that despite all his success thus far, creatively, critically and commercially, his greatest achievements lay ahead of him. The future would be whatever he hoped to make of it.
God speed Lee. It has been a privilege for all of us to know you. You will be indescribably missed.’

‘Kate is shocked and devastated at the tragic loss of her dear friend Lee McQueen. Her thoughts are with his family at this sad time.’

‘Lee was a fashion genius. I don’t say that lightly, and it is a total shock that I am referring to him in the past tense.
He was a real friend. I will miss him as a mate, a peer, and as a true British talent, full of life and energy in everything he ever did.’

Victoria Beckham

Since she was heavily criticised for her performance on American Idol, we thought Victoria Beckham may actually give up her presenting dream…well we were wrong. She has now landed herself a slot on the US chat show version of Loose Women, The View.  VB will team up with Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd, and Barbara Walters to co-host the show, which will air on 17th February 2010.

Although VB herself is yet to comment her spokesperson has said she is ‘excited’…maybe she will actually crack a smile

A rep said: “She had a lot of fun last time she was on the show, it’s a real ‘girlie’ environment, the hosts are all strong, intelligent women who she respects and admires, and she is looking forward to returning to the show in a few weeks,”

David Beckham for Sport Relief

The Beckham family have put their creative hats on again, but this time their fashionable endeavour is a charitable one. Victoria and David Beckham have designed a t-shirt exclusively for Sport Relief, they were also helped by their children Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz who all put their creative stamp on the t-shirts – literally! Each T-shirt features “The Beckhams for Sport Relief” logo, a combination of the footprints of each family member.

‘Victoria and I are so excited to be involved with Sport Relief again this year,’ David said ‘Our family had a great time designing the T-shirt range and we hope it will raise much needed funds for many important causes’.
