Enchanted Palace

We love to do things a bit differently here at Beautyandthedirt, so we were very excited when we heard about the new exhibition at Kensington Palace, “Enchanted Palace”.

From 26th March, the palace’s State Apartments will be transformed into a visual spectacular exhibiting both fashion and performance.

Designers such as Vivienne Westwood, William Tempest, Stephen Jones, Boudicca and Aminaka Wilmont, along with illustrator/set designer Echo Morgan, are set to each create an installation in collaboration with WILDWORKS. They are to take inspiration from the palace itself and the princesses that once lived there – Mary, Anne, Caroline, Charlotte, Victoria, Margaret and Diana.

The exhibition sounds very exciting and if that doesn’t float you boat, there will also be historic items on show from the Royal Collection and Kensington Palace’s Royal Ceremonial Dress Collection, together with two dresses worn by Diana, Princess of Wales and Princess Margaret.

If you’re in London, or planning a trip down here after 26th March, definitely head down and check it out, if only to relive the days when becoming princess was your most important life goal. Admittedly, things haven’t changed that much for me since…
