Luxury Family Holidays in the UK

When it comes to holidays, taking short weekend breaks, or any type of break for that matter, with the whole family in tow, particularly if there are little ‘uns involved, is something of a rarity. Instead, for us, it’s all or nothing. A two-week break abroad, or we stay put. Because, really, uprooting all and sundry for just a few days away doesn’t sound like the relaxing, fun holiday that it should be, does it?  Or at least that’s what we assumed, until we were introduced to Luxury Family Hotels, because that is exactly what they specialise in. Luxurious family short breaks in the UK that offer everything from a complementary crèche, baby equipment and family-friendly activities to indulgent and luxe spas, gorgeous rooms and delicious food cooked with seasonal produce.

New Park Manor

Not wanting to venture too far, we’ve been eyeing up New Park Manor, a gorgeous hotel set within the natural beauty of the New Forest’s woodland, heathland and wetlands, for a sunny spring weekend.

Not only does it boast a heated outdoor pool (you never know what the British weather is going to throw at you!) and the award-winning Bath House Spa for some seriously decadent me – sorry – us time,  but as the forest comes right up to the very edge of the Manor’s grounds, the great outdoors, including fallow deer, New Forest ponies, and the occasional wild boar, comes straight to you!

Thanks to a whole host of kid-friendly options (without a grotty play area or mucky high-chair in sight) we’re no longer seeing the kids’ age as something that stops us from booking a decadent and fun-filled weekend away, but rather, we’ve discovered the great thing about having pre-schoolers – being able to book some really beautiful UK hotels for a short family break at really great value prices during mid-week and term-times!

New Park Manor, New Forest, Hampshire, SO42 7QH. Rooms from £135
