The Grafton Hotel is my best tip for a hotel in LA if you are on a bit of a budget but want to be in exactly the right spot for shopping, good night-life and star spotting. I can happily recommend it and will certainly be going back to myself, soon too I hope! Situated next door to the super trendy Mondrian, opposite Chateau Marmont and The Andaz, which I also really like and a block down from the Hollywood A-Listers favourite, The Sunset Towers. So you can see how well set up you are for bar-hopping?!

My room was a good size, all rooms overlook the Mediterranean garden & salt water pool, and if you book a room on the same level as the pool you get a door out to that level with your own sun chairs outside. All rooms have a huge flat screen TV, ample closet space and large writing desk with iPod docking station.

What I really liked about it was, the atmosphere all around the hotel, it was  really casual and didn’t have a ‘sceney’ lobby or around the pool when I was there. So you could really hide out and relax in a secluded spot but step outside to everything cool and happening when you were ready. Staff were really friendly and helpful I am definitely going back to stay there on my next trip.

Their website describes it well, and I wholeheartedly agree…“The Grafton on Sunset is your tranquil hideaway in the center of pure star studded radiance”.
