Dinner began with freshly baked Foccacia, straight from the oven accompanied by homemade pesto, tapenade and olive oil.  Next came the pan fried local line caught sea bass with sautéed new potatoes and mange tout served on a bed of chorizo, sundried tomatoes and mussel broth.  “If one is to eat fish, it must be served straight from the pan and should always have an array of flavours such as this”.  A bottle of Wild Rock; Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand (citrus and sweet herb undertones) accompanied dinner, and upon finishing his main course, The Prince retired to the heated outside terrace to finish the bottle whilst snuggling under a complimentary blanket and taking in the Urban Beach evening air.  It wasn’t long before His Highness expressed the need for sleep and soon retired for the evening most composed.

Early to rise next morning, breakfast was taken on the terrace and with the sun shining gloriously, The Prince sipped a Suncall Smoothie, a blast of strawberries, elderflower, lemon and apples, this was in his words “excitingly revitalising”.  A classic English breakfast soon followed served in a large round dish and was the perfect preparation for the hearty 6 mile seafront stroll from Boscombe beach westward to Canford cliffs.  Though not before taking a quick look at the latest developments of the Boscombe beachfront itself.  The original Victorian Chine Gardens were enjoying a makeover along with the Boscombe Pier end and with the 1950’s Overstrand Complex being restored, Urban Beach we were informed would soon be launching its new Urban Reef restaurant, café, bar and delicatessen with beach front sun terrace and mezzanine.  No doubt the “Urban Reef” will deliver the same delightful service and high standards as Urban Beach.

Boscombe and the international surfing community as a whole will be truly “Amped”.
