Jared Leto in Artifact

Jared Leto in Artifact

The Toronto Film Festival, also known as TIFF12, starts next week and I will be there to see the films, attend the junkets with the stars and party hop to see who I can spot while I’m there. Toronto is one of the most popular film festivals in the calender and is well attended by the stars. This year we expect to see Ben Affleck, Ryan Gosling, Eva Mendes and Jake Gyllenhaal all attending to support their new releases. I will be updating you on all the news and gossip, but in the meantime here’s a taster of what to look out for.

Artifact
Telling harsh truths about the modern music business, Artifact gives intimate access to singer/actor Jared Leto and his band Thirty Seconds to Mars as they battle their label in a brutal lawsuit and record their album This Is War. The film is a true artifact of our times, as its subjects struggle with big questions over art, money and integrity.

Telling David Geffen’s story is to tell the history of modern American show business. No one has equaled his impact across the worlds of music, film, philanthropy and beyond. He built several game-changing brands that helped shape American popular culture for the past four decades, including Asylum Records, Geffen Records, Geffen Films and DreamWorks. David Geffen and director Susan Lacy will also host a live conversation after the world premiere screening of this new film.
