Kiehl’s have created two brand new facial masques, with one described as the ‘instant facial’, and we all want in on this.
The new special formulas offer a ‘pollution solution’ to help treat and defend your skin against the environmental factors that are all around us and constantly penetrating our skin daily – and a revitalizing option, to produce a brighter and more radiant complexion.
Beauty and the Dirt went along to Kiehl’s special launch; and instantly the lovely bright pots caught our eye, almost as if they were beaming with goodness inside. Appropriately named after the important ingredients, here we have the Cilantro and Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque and the Tumeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque. Sounds rather like a yummy recipe to me!
If you live or work in a busy city, the pollution doesn’t only put stress on your health – but your skin too. Kiehl’s have done the research and it turns out one of the top skincare concerns alongside ageing; is dullness. Interestingly this issue massively comes from larger, busier cities around the world including Japan and France; showing the relationship between the amount of pollution and what is happening to people’s skin.
Offering a natural solution to a man-made problem, here is the low-down on these two special face masques:
Kiehl’s Cilantro & Orange Extract Pollutant Defending Masque is a protective, treatment facial masque that offers 3, yes 3 levels of protection and treatment against the damaging effects of pollution adhering to the skin; Blocking, Strengthening and Resisting. This is cleverly done with the use of their carefully chosen ingredients. Cilantro (that’s coriander to you and me) offers amazing benefits to the skin and actually encourages skin barrier regeneration… as well as being a perfect cooking garnish of course.
All you need to do is apply before bedtime, a couple of times a week, leave to sink in for 10 mins and just wipe away. Kiehl’s have encouraged not to wash this one off to leave a thin layer to work all night.
Kiehl’s Turmeric & Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Masque works as an instant facial by brightening and energizing the look of dull, and fatigued skin to restore a healthy, rosy appearance. Turmeric is part of the ginger family, and is known for its strong antiseptic, healing properties, and delivering brightening benefits to the skin. This one goes right back in history for it’s uses. Cranberry is a rich source of antioxidants and helps gently exfoliate leaving renewed skin and giving an energized and radiant look.
This one can be used alongside the Defending masque, a few times a week to give your skin a lift. Leave on clean skin for 10 mins and wash off for a rejuvenated face!
