BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH 2014 PRODUCTS

September 23, 2014

by Brooke Varney

One of the many reasons we love October besides the weather and pumpkin-flavored food is that beauty brands release brand new or tried and true products that come in special pretty pink packaging.  Not to mention, at least a portion of the proceeds goes toward Breast Cancer Research, which we love even more.  Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in the UK, with statistics saying that one in eight women in the UK will be diagnosed with breast cancer at some point in their life.  Although a scary statistic, survival rates are improving every year thanks to funds raised by donations, fundraising events, and proceeds from products like these.

Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness Evelyn Dream Solid Perfume Compact (£60.oo)

Estée Lauder has been a huge supporter of breast cancer research for years, even helping create the Pink Ribbon motif universally recognized as the cause’s symbol since 1992.  Every year the brand releases beautifully packaged products for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with this year’s being no exception.  The Estée Lauder Breast Cancer Awareness Evelyn Dream Solid Perfume Compact (£60.00) is filled with one of the brand’s signature fragrances, Pleasures, with a beautiful gold and enamel design on the outside.  However, the best part is that all £60.00 spent goes to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

For soft and smooth hands, try Aveda Breast Cancer Awareness Hand Relief (£19.00).  With vitamins A and E to diminish signs of aging as well as a lovely rosemary and mint scent, this rich moisturizer is perfect for the upcoming chilly months when dry skin becomes a problem for almost everyone.   We also love that £2 of every tube sold in the UK will support cruelty-free research through The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

One of our favorite little pleasures in life is to have a fun pop of color on our nails to brighten up any drab outfit.  This sparkly, princess pink Nails Inc. Breast Cancer Awareness Poppy Delevingne nail polish (£11.00), was designed by the model/actress herself using “confidence” and “empowerment” as inspiration.  For every bottle sold, £1 will go to the Breast Cancer Campaign.

Mark and Spencer’s has an extremely affordable way to help support breast cancer research funds.  Their Fashion Targets Breast Cancer Lip Balm (£3.00) leaves lips moisturized and tinted with a flush of fuchsia, for only £3.00.  Best of all, 100% of proceeds are donated to breast cancer research.

If you were to ask any celebrity about their beauty must-haves, chances are they’ll mention a product from Crème de la Mer.  The luxurious beauty and skincare brand has released a special edition of one of their signature products to support breast cancer research, the Crème de la Mer The Limited Edition Hand Treatment (£38.00).  Released in special packaging with pink accents, the cream’s Skin Brightening Complex improves the tone and clarity of skin along with diminishing the appearance of age spots, while the nutrient-rich Miracle Broth protects and helps hydrate even the driest skin.
