Margot Robbie and Miranda Kerr opted for complete Laura Mercier makeovers for the awards ceremony; and we were given the official line up of the products that were used on these two stunning celebs below. Straight from the makeup artists’ themselves, here’s the breakdown of how they created these flawless looks:
Margot Robbie
Margot Robbie can pretty much look amazing whatever she does – but last night her beauty blew us away. She wore a neutral makeup palette, which gave her a fresh and effortless look, and accentuated all of her best features.

Celebrity makeup artist Tyron Machhausen created a look to complement Margot Robbie’s show-stopping golden Tom Ford dress for the Oscars last night. Machhausen shared, “I created her look as if she just came off the beach and threw on an amazing gown meets classic American fashion model Margaux Hemmingway.” The focus of her makeup look was “sunkissed, glowing and beautiful skin – the makeup wasn’t heavy, just a fresh, polished version of herself.”
SKIN
First, Machhausen moisturized Robbie’s skin by gently massaging RéVive Intensité Crème Lustre Day (£235) all over her face. He shared, “Spending some extra time giving her a mini-face massage helps the skin look glowing and fresh” – it’s all in the skin prep guys!
FACE
Next, he prepped her skin using Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Radiance (£29).
To create an even, fresh and perfect finish, he applied NEW Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation (a mix of Butterscotch and Dune) (£35) all over her face.
Machhausen applied the Laura Mercier Candleglow Luminizing Palette (£45) to complete her glowing complexion.
EYES
Keeping the eyes very natural, he applied a tiny bit of Laura Mercier Eye Basics in Wheat (£21).
He finished the eyes by applying Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara in Black Onyx (£19.50). To complete her eyes, he brushed Robbie’s brows up to shape them.
Miranda Kerr
We loved Miranda Kerr’s timeless and classic look, but with its simplicity on her clean skin.. Her lipstick matched her dress perfectly; take a look at which exact shade was used below…

Celebrity makeup artist Lisa Storey created a glamorous but simple look that complemented Miranda Kerr’s beautiful red dress for the Oscars After Party. Storey revealed, “We went with bronzy skin, which really made the look feel fresh, modern and youthful. And the red lip gave the look an element of glamour. It was simple and chic, but with a pop of color on the lips.”
FACE
She primed the skin with Laura Mercier Foundation Primer – Radiance (£29).
To achieve a glowy complexion, Storey applied NEW Laura Mercier Candleglow Soft Luminous Foundation in Honey (£35) all over the face.
She applied Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Stick Face Colour in Bronze Glow (£26) on the cheeks. To make the cheeks a bit more vibrant, she added a small amount of Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Stick Face Colour in Peach Glow (£26) to the top of the cheekbones.
Lastly, Storey set Kerr’s makeup with a light touch of Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Setting Powder (£29).
EYES
To create Kerr’s bronzy eye look, Storey first used Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Cocoa (£22) on the outer edges of the eye and then she smudged it upwards, to give the eye a subtle definition.
Next, she used Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Copper (£22) all over the majority of the eyelid and added Laura Mercier Caviar Stick Eye Colour in Rosegold (£22) to the inner corner of the eyes.
She then mixed together the Copper and Rosegold shades and gently applied the combination underneath the eyes.
To accentuate Kerr’s brows, Storey applied Laura Mercier Eye Brow Pencil in Soft Brunette (£17.50). She then used Laura Mercier Bonne Mine Stick Face Colour in Bronze Glow (£26) underneath the eyebrow area, to create a sunkissed look.
Finally, she swept on Laura Mercier Extra Lash Sculpting Mascara in Black Onyx (£19.50) and added a bit of Laura Mercier Secret Camouflage in SC-3 (£26.50) underneath the eyes.
LIPS
To complete the look, Storey applied Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in Mon Cheri (£22). She stated, “It’s a gorgeous color with a rich, velvety finish. It has lovely, deep pigments, so we didn’t have to worry about it running throughout the night. It’s the perfect consistency.”
