With New York Fashion Week wrapped up; it is London’s turn to take centre stage, and it starts today! London Fashion Week has kicked off in full force, with a host of designers debuting their Spring/Summer 2016 collections.
I was on hand to catch a little action as I went backstage for the Jean-Pierre Braganza show. LFW has moved from it’s beloved home at Somerset House to the Brewer Street Car Park in Soho. It is a trendy spot that’s for sure, and on my arrival the streets were bustling with people and you could feel the excitement.

As I arrived at the Jean-Pierre Braganza backstage, the artistry was just oozing from the walls; with designers displaying their rails of clothing, waiting for the next change of outfit, the makeup artists and hair stylists with their table tops spilling with products.
Terry Barber, Creative Director of MAC Cosmetics was doing make-up alongside his MAC team, and hair was directed by Indira Schauwecker, the UK Creative Director of Toni & Guy. Nair Make-up Artist and skin expert Victoria Bond was working her magic on the models legs to create flawless skin.

I had a little chat with MAC Senior Artist Rachel O’Donnell, whom I have the pleasure of knowing from my MAC days (she has taught me some amazing makeup techniques) who gave me a little insight into some products they were using for the show…

I definitely got a little excited when Rachel whipped these out of her makeup kit; just check out those chunky eyebrow pencils and coloured strobe creams! These products are being tested at the shows, so are not available just yet. Fingers crossed and eyes peeled for more MAC updates and launches. I’d definitely like to see those bad boy eyebrow pencils…
This is a good start, and we can’t wait for the week to come.
